Assam records some of India's highest rainfall, and the Brahmaputra valley's near-permanent humidity makes pest control a year-round rather than seasonal business. Mosquito breeding almost never stops; the extended monsoon (April–October) and repeated valley flooding keep Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar and the tea-belt districts under heavy mosquito and cockroach pressure, with vector-borne disease a standing public-health concern.

Assam has around 3.5 crore people across 35 districts and is the commercial heart of the North-East. Guwahati is the region's largest city and trade centre, supported by Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Silchar, Tinsukia and Nagaon. The Brahmaputra valley's tea estates and dense riverine settlements give the state a high, steady demand base.

Guwahati is the distribution hub for the entire North-East, and stock for the region's markets typically routes through it. Assam is general-trade and semi-wholesale led, with Guwahati's Fancy Bazaar and wholesale markets feeding the valley districts and onward to the neighbouring NE states. Modern trade is growing in Guwahati; the tea-belt and interior districts remain kirana driven.

Distributing insecticides in Assam requires a Form VI licence under the Insecticides Act, 1968, issued by the Assam Department of Agriculture through the district agriculture officer. Submit your GST certificate, premises proof and the principal certificate we provide on appointment. The non-insecticide brands (Habro, Lovaire, Caesars, Gardenz) do not require this licence.
