Kerala has no true dry season, and that single fact drives its pest economy. Two monsoons — the South-West (June–September) and the North-East (October–November) — keep humidity high year-round, producing back-to-back cockroach and mosquito surges rather than one seasonal spike.

The rubber and coconut belts of the central and northern districts see sustained rodent pressure into and out of stores and godowns. Coastal Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Kozhikode face the heaviest mosquito load; the Western Ghats districts of Idukki and Wayanad add termite and ant activity in the wetter months.

Distributing insecticides in Kerala requires a Form VI licence under the Insecticides Act, 1968, issued by the Kerala Department of Agriculture Development & Farmers' Welfare. Apply through the department's district agriculture office with your GST certificate, premises proof, and the principal certificate we provide on appointment. Non-insecticide brands (Habro, Lovaire, Caesars, Gardenz air/plant care) do not need this licence — many Kerala distributors start with those while the Form VI is processed.
