Rajasthan is India's largest and driest state, and its arid, low-humidity climate flips the usual pest pattern. Mosquito pressure is comparatively muted for much of the year because standing water is scarce; instead the desert heat and grain economy push ant, rodent and stored-product pest demand. The Thar belt around Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Barmer runs hot and dry, while the brief south-west monsoon and the irrigated eastern plains around Kota and the Chambal add a short, sharp mosquito window.

• Mar–Jun (peak dry heat): ants and cockroaches driven indoors, plus rodents raiding kirana and grain stores → ant chalk, gel baits, Podo rat traps and glue boards
• Post-harvest (Oct–Feb): stored-grain insects and rodents in the wheat, bajra and mustard belts and mandi godowns → rodent control, surface sprays
• Jul–Sep (short monsoon): a brief mosquito rise in eastern irrigated districts (Kota, Bharatpur, Bhilwara) → repellent liquids and coils, stocked seasonally rather than year-round

Rajasthan has roughly 8 crore people spread thinly across 41 districts and a vast geography, so distribution is anchored by a handful of strong urban nodes rather than one dominant metro. Jaipur is the trade and consumption capital, with Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer and Bikaner acting as regional redistribution centres for their surrounding desert and semi-arid districts. Long inter-town distances make warehousing and route planning central to serving the state.

Rajasthan is strongly general-trade led, and Jaipur's Johari Bazar and Kishanpole wholesale markets are the pivot for FMCG redistribution across the state. Kirana and semi-wholesale stores dominate in the smaller towns and villages, while modern trade is concentrated in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Kota. Tourist-town retail in Udaipur, Jaisalmer and Pushkar adds seasonal hygiene and repellent demand on top of the resident base.

To distribute the insecticide ranges in Rajasthan you need a Form VI licence under the Insecticides Act, 1968, issued by the Rajasthan Department of Agriculture through the district agriculture office. Keep your GST certificate, premises proof and the principal certificate we provide ready at appointment. The non-insecticide brands — Habro, Lovaire, Caesars and Gardenz — need no such licence and can be stocked immediately.
