Uttarakhand is a state of two climates, and pest demand tracks that divide sharply.

• Terai plains (Udham Singh Nagar, Haridwar, parts of Dehradun and Nainital): hot, humid and low-lying, with sugarcane and paddy tracts that breed mosquitoes heavily. Dengue and malaria pressure keeps Goodbye coils, liquid vaporisers and aerosols in strong year-round demand.
• Hill districts (Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Uttarkashi): cool to cold, with low mosquito pressure. Insecticide off-take here is seasonal and lighter, but Gardenz garden care and Lovaire air care sell steadily in towns and tourist lodges.
• Monsoon damp across both belts lifts cockroach, ant and housefly demand and supports Habro hygiene.

Uttarakhand has about 1.1 crore people across 13 districts. The economic weight sits in the Terai and Doon plains — Dehradun (the capital), Haridwar, Rishikesh, Roorkee, Haldwani, Rudrapur and Kashipur — which hold the bulk of the population, industry and organised retail. The nine hill districts are smaller and scattered, served through key towns like Nainital, Almora, Pithoragarh and Srinagar (Garhwal). Haridwar and Rishikesh add heavy pilgrim and tourist footfall.

Trade concentrates in the plains general-trade (GT) belts of Dehradun, Haridwar, Roorkee, Haldwani and Rudrapur, where kirana density is high and modern trade (MT) is growing in the Doon and Kumaon towns. Pilgrim-season HoReCa demand spikes around Haridwar, Rishikesh and the Char Dham route. Hill retail runs through smaller kirana and weekly markets that restock from plains distributors.
